This is the spur drive that I use.  Same design that I use on my lathe.  Outer spurs are 1/8" above the flat and center spur is 1/2".  When making one be sure that the spurs are not in a straight line.  This way the stock can only be remounted one way using the existing holes.  Also the outside spurs are ground chisel shape with the flats parallel to stock rotation.   Stock alignment for fluting is accomplished by setting the index locking pin and then rotating the spur drive so the stock aligns properly with the router bit.  Spur drive is then locked in place with lock nut (not shown).
