Phil B. was right.  I couldn't stand it any longer.  I finally made a couple of stops so I don't have to use those locks that came with the machine.  I can't believe it took so long to do this.  It took a whole 3 minutes to make and makes locking the carriage so much easier.

Art is right.  The simplest ideas are the best.  The stop I made the other day now does double duty.
For me, setting the height of the bed is a pain.  Bending over ( getting on your knees) is a killer (at my age).  I cut a kerf in the end of the block and added a screw to the side.   Now I can  use it to measure down to the inner rail on one corner with my 12" ruler. I made 4 of these stops to lock the carriage down from any side to begin with, so now, by putting a stop on each corner, I can get an accurate measurement of the bed along the x axis and the y axis to make sure I am perfectly level in just seconds.  If  I want I can lock the ruler down with the screw and move it from corner to corner and adjust each corner.  Works great to see the bed tilt for tapers also.

Why didn't Legacy have this?  It's so simple.

Note.  Added 4 rulers to my shopping list.  Art
